 February 4th, 2020 5:30-8pm @ The Executive Plaza Hotel-Coquitlam

Dinner meeting content:

Sustainable procurement is an international movement to move markets towards achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, where buyers consider social, environmental and ethical impacts and opportunities when choosing goods and services. One of the most powerful strategies to make more sustainable purchases is to engage suppliers on sustainability before, during and after the procurement process. This session will provide a framework for how to work effectively with suppliers to achieve mutual sustainability goals with case examples of successful collaborations.

About the speaker:

Tim has 25 years of experience delivering successful sustainability strategies and plans and stakeholder engagement processes for clients around the world. Tim is considered a Canadian thought-leader in using procurement to advance organizational sustainability strategies. Tim is also the founder of the Municipal Collaboration for Sustainable Procurement. Established in 2010, the MCSP is a member-based network of Canadian public-sector institutions working together to align their spending with their values and commitments on sustainability. Members meet virtually for professional development, networking and information sharing, and to co-create tools to better address sustainability opportunities and risks in their supply chain.
