Supply Chain Canada, together with our partners, invites you to join us for the Supply Chain Virtual Forum, a national event marking the official kickoff to Supply Chain Week in British Columbia—as proclaimed by the Government of BC for September 14 to 18, 2026. This recognition celebrates the professionals, businesses, and networks that keep our economy moving every day — from delivering essential goods to communities, to driving innovation, resilience, and economic growth across Canada. With more than 200,000 supply chain professionals and 500,000+ businesses and organizations supported by strong, reliable supply chains, this proclamation highlights the essential role supply chain plays in every industry.

Under the theme “Powering Prosperity: Supply Chains for Economic Growth,” this forum will bring together leading voices from across Canada to explore the challenges and opportunities shaping our supply chain landscape. In a time marked by global uncertainty, shifting trade dynamics, and ongoing infrastructure strain, this event provides an essential platform to spotlight innovation, share best practices, and foster collaboration across sectors. 

The forum will feature keynotes, panel discussions, and expert presentations on:

 Lori Ann LaRocco is an award-winning author and journalist focusing on trade and the global supply chain. LaRocco is the president of supply chain data and trade policy analysis firm LaRocco Consulting, advising companies and investors on geopolitics and the bottlenecks and threading the needle with data to show the impact on industries and companies.  She continues her reporting on her Lori Ann LaRocco Substack and contributes as a columnist for GCaptain.LaRocco worked at CNBC for 26 years and was recently the network’s senior editor of guests and global supply chain reporter. Prior to CNBC, LaRocco was an anchor and reporter for local news stations around the country.

 Alan Arcand is the Chief Economist at Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME). He is responsible for leading CME’s major national research projects, conducting economic analyses and surveys, and advocates for the association and its members to governments and the public. Before joining CME, Alan spent 20 years with The Conference Board of Canada where he held multiple roles, including the Associate Director of the Centre for Municipal Studies.

 Conor Chell is a Partner and National Leader with KPMG Law LLP, where he leads KPMG’s Sustainability, Environment and Regulatory Law practice. He advises organizations on emerging regulatory risks at the intersection of business, sustainability and supply chains, with significant experience in Canada’s evolving forced labour and modern slavery regime. Conor works with organizations to translate rapidly changing legal requirements into practical governance, compliance and risk-management strategies.

 Kim Swanzey is a Partner with KPMG in Canada who advises organizations on responsible sourcing, ethical supply chains and human-rights-related risks. She helps businesses assess supply-chain exposure, strengthen due diligence processes and respond to evolving expectations around forced labour and human rights. Her work focuses on turning responsible-sourcing commitments into practical processes that can withstand increasing regulatory and stakeholder scrutiny.

 Robert Glasgow is a Partner with KPMG Law LLP in Canada and a recognized international trade law. He has extensive experience advising businesses on customs compliance, import requirements and cross-border trade, including the growing use of customs enforcement to address goods produced using forced labour. Robert focuses on providing strategic and practical advice to his clients on coping with Canada’s forced labour requirements and how they can affect importers, supply chains, and border compliance.
